In 2018 (my matric/final year in high school) I discovered Unity Engine and I curiously downloaded it as it was completely free which led me mastering C# and the Unity Engine.

A Survival Horror Game, Inside (2020)

Inside is a survival horror game I started working on in 2019 and released in 2020. It places the player in a house where the player is required to solve puzzles while avoiding an AI powered enemy (yes, I programmed the AI myself) that constantly looks for the player while patrolling the house in a completely random, unstructured manner, making the enemy completely unpredictable.

The game has a total playtime of about one hour and has a total of four different endings and provides the player with an animated cutscene followed by the credits.

Releasing Of Games

I originally planned to release/publish my games via Steam, but as a student, the cost of doing that was way to expensive and unaffordable, so I resorted to publishing my games on platforms and websites specifically designed for independent game developers like, Itch.io and GameJolt.

A Sad Horror Story, Death of a Pet (2021)

Death of a Pet is actually a story driven game with some horror elements. I developed the game with inspirations from games like The Sims and other retro games. The game takes place in a quiet neighborhood when the player gets back home from a place unknown to find a dog in a box on their doorstep. The player takes the dog for a walk every day and eventually something terrible happens. This leads the player's character to a state of depression and suicidal thoughts which would all eventually build up to the character committing horrific and heinous actions in the finale.

The game has an average play time of about forty minutes to an hour.

A Surrealistic Horror Comedy, Overdose (2022)

Overdose is currently my most recently released game, released early 2022. It is a level based horror game with surrealistic elements as well as some of my very own humor. It follows the story of a person who accidentally takes way too much sleeping pills and is left confused whether they are having an intense fever dream or whether they are dead all while being tormented and ridiculed by an unknown entity named Pendulus.

The game has an average playtime of about one to one and a half hours.

A Partly Remastered Horror, Dimensions Dead Edition (2020)

Dimensions Dead Edition is obviously the remastered version of my game by the same name, Dimensions that was released a year prior to this game. I never got the opportunity to finish the remastered version as I experienced a problem with my computer which caused me to lose all of my work in an instant (I know... I should have made backups, but I learned my lesson) The game is very surrealistic and places the player in an ever shifting environment with confusing yet repetitive loops. It may be torment or hell for all we know.

The game has an average play time of fifteen to thirty minutes.

A Surrealistic Horror Game, Dimensions (2019)

Dimensions was my first official game that I released (excluding Floors, since Floors is garbage) I started working on Dimensions halfway through 2018 all the way toward halfway 2019 and after more than a year of working on the game on and off and eventually giving up on it since it had bad visuals and code compared to what I was capable of by the time I decided to release it, I decided to just release it rather than to let it go to waste. It quickly got popular on GameJolt and I saw that people liked what I had to give.

The game has a very basic story as it was one of my very first games. It places the player in a weirdly surrealistic environment consisting of rooms and loops with linear gameplay.

The game has an average gameplay of about forty minutes to an hour.

An Awkward Troll Game, Get Spooked (2020)

Get Spooked is a really weird game... One day I felt like pranking someone and the only problem I had was that I didn't have anyone to prank. So I came up with the idea to release a game with the screenshots of one of my other unreleased games and fool people into thinking that they are downloading some kind of scary first person shooter. Only they weren't.

In Get Spooked, the players are presented with a very long loading screen at which point they get randomly jump scared after which they are shown a few paragraphs of text explaining what just happened to them. They had the option to close the game, but once they click it, it would just send them to a chat with this figure they were jump scared by. Some very weird things are said and some weird things are done, usually leaving the player with a few laughs.

The game was shockingly successful on Itch.io and stayed at in the 1st spot on the browse page for about two weeks. I have no idea why people kept playing, but I'm sure it was just people sharing the game with their friends for a laugh.

The game has an average play time of about ten to fifteen minutes.

Garbage Created By Myself, Floors 1 - 3 (2019 - 2020)

Floors, Floors II and Floors III were definitely the worst games I ever created, but they were also quite successful which is why I am mentioning them.

I programmed Floors in a few hours just to test how easy it would be to release a game on Itch.io and to my surprise, quite a few people played it, which was totally unexpected from my side. All three games involve the player running up an endless flight of stairs to be randomly jump scared at any moment, usually leading to a very big jump scare (only the first time) After the first jump scare, the game gets boring and repetitive with no reward in continuing.

Floors II and Floors III are copy-and-paste versions of Floors, but only with improved graphics, enemies and gameplay each time.

Personally, I would never program something this embarrassing ever again.
